CALIFORNIA SHOOTER DEEMED TO HAVE OBTAINED WEAPONS ILLEGALLY
Earlier this week, a gunman in Northern California went on a shooting rampage, killing five people and wounding four others. The shooter, Kevin Neal, has had a violent past including stabbing his neighbor. That incident brought a restraining order against Neal that prevented him from owning a firearm, according to court records.
This restriction failed and this sick individual was still able to obtain a firearm, just like the Sutherland Springs shooter. Neal was found to be in possession of two “home-made” semi-automatic rifles and two handguns, all of which were registered in another person’s name.
Authorities have yet to say how these weapons were produced or obtained, but it’s clear he shouldn’t have been anywhere near firearms – at least according to California law.
